Heat blamed for deaths in California

Triple-digit temperatures in southwest California nine out of 11 San Francisco Bay Area cities broke heat records Saturday. 99 degrees in downtown Los Angeles and 115 degrees in nearby Woodland Hills, which reached a record-setting 119 degrees Saturday. Story posted Sunday, July 23, 2006
